Multimedia with Manila
Multimedia gives us and extraordinary opportunity to engage our audience, whether that be students, parents, or any others. Being able to provide a photo gallery of last weeks field trip, or a video of the skit you prepared so grandma could see it. Giving your students the chance to hear Martin Luther King give his "I Have a Dream" speech. Hear what an African chant sounds like, or the differences between Mozart and a modern day artist. The opportunities are endless and Manila provides some easy ways to deliver your multimedia projects.

Manila Workday
Registration InformationThis is a day devoted to developing a curriculum-based Manila site. ESU 10 personnel will be available to assist educators as they continue to work on their web site. There is no set agenda.

Designing Manila Templates
Registration InformationThis workshop is designed to give you the basics for building your own Manila theme. Using an HTML editor, you will create a simple design as your theme, which will be transferred to the Manila server and installed for all to use. We will go through all the steps needed to create a new look for your school or organization with the simplicity of Manila at the core.

WAcT - Web Academy for Teachers
Registration InformationWeb Academy for Teachers (WAcT) is a 4-day workshop in which teachers will develop an educational web site. Participants will use Manila, an easy-to-use web-development application which focuses on content rather than design. Templates are used to create a web site that can be used in and out of the classroom. The resulting web site can assist teachers in instruction and is accessible from home, thus providing students—and parents—access to assignments and other resources required for the class. Other topics will include web accessibility, clip art & graphics, audio, scanners, image editors, as well as how to include Word, PDF, PowerPoint and movie files.
